HEAVENLY FATHER,
You have promised to hear
us when we pray in the name of your son..
Therefore in confidence
and trust we pray
FOR YOUR CHURCH
enliven your Church for
its mission
breathe fresh life into
your people.
Lift us up when our hearts
are drab and dreary, open our compassion and inspire us when the way seems
long.
FOR YOUR WORLD
lead us and all people
into ways of justice and peace
Pray for
ALL MY RELATIONS: The
Navajo the Hopi and the United States government
For all my relations
Guard and guide us all in
this foundation year of the millennium. Teach us a new way of life
and new ways to be together. Ways of sharing the burdens, and of
lessening them rather than making them heavier for others. I pray for those
of all religions and none, all people of spirit and peace.

awaken
in us a sense of wonder
for
the earth and all that is in it.
Lord , I can scarcely imagine
a man who, when he says he is going to cuddle the cat, may mean a cougar,
or a fully grown lion. When I consider how I demand that my animals have
to fit in so much with me, and with my artificial, constrained, safe little
world, I am filled with praise that there are some whose daily living arrangements
are in such natural harmony that they encompass both human and wild needs,
and think that perhaps the humans too are the healthier for it.
The sense of wonder grows
in me. Dear Lord, could your whole world perhaps become a place where all
your creatures really might lie down together in safety and joy?
Where the lion, the man and
the dog have lain down together, perhaps the lamb would not be so silly
to join in, after all.
FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Give grace to all whose
lives are linked with ours
Dear Lord, I feel my mind
dwell on each member of my family. Teach me to care for them and love them
properly. For they and their love are your physical presence with me.
I pray for all who live with
me, asking you, who know them so much better than I do, to open my understanding
of them, and my gentleness toward them. I pray for their protection and
deliverance from all harm and all evil influences. For their strength
and courage, where it is is needed.
Thank you for my friends.
Look after each one of them, as only you can do...

Dear Father. I have two friends
now who suffer from ME. their emotional pain is terrible. I know that my
crying about their condition doesn't help at all. But I look at them, their
weariness, their sorrow, their depression, and I can't help but wonder
at your purposes for them.
I praise you for H's great
strength and courage. She has transformed a life of pain and tiredness
into a ministry, by letters, and gifts and by telephone she continues to
spread love and compassion.
I pray for those who suffer
the excruciating pain of arthritis, constant torment of headaches, nausea
and dizziness, Lord, lift us up..

I give thanks for V's constant
encouragement to others, and pray for her, my heart goes out to her
day and night. We pray especially for her at this time of personal crisis
and decision. and we ask for your blessing on her in her faithfulness.

Look after her, as her life and
her household falls down about her ears. Give her the strength and
resources that she needs to rebuild her life from the ground up. Body and
soul.
MA
I pray for M, and for her
family. With two constantly sick children and one pre- teen, there is surely
enough for her to cope with. She does remarkable things for our whole community,
Lord. She has constant dizziness and loss of memory, progressive Menier's
syndrome, epilepsy and an operation in the past barely over and problems
with her eyes. Keep her as the apple of your eye, hide her in the shadow
of your wings.

We pray for those who are
in sore distress, for the sake of their children who have died before
them.
WE PRAISE YOU FOR ALL YOUR
SAINTS WHO HAVE ENTERED YOUR ETERNAL GLORY
MAY THEIR EXAMPLE INSPIRE
AND ENCOURAGE US.
